The Bianconeri have been after the Serbian midfielder for quite some time.
However, they have not managed to lure him to the Olimpico as Juve fans have stood firm against his arrival.
Nedved believes that Stankovic would be a welcome addition to the side and he believes that the fans have been wrong in the way they have made their feelings known.
“I know Dejan well, he’s a great guy and he would do well here, but I am not the one who makes these decisions,” Nedved told La Stampa.
“I don’t agree with the fans, people have to understand that we are professionals and that it doesn’t matter where you come from.
“We serve the team which buys us and so I don’t understand these problems.”
The former Lazio midfielder also highlighted his ambitions for the coming season and he wants to win the Champions League.
“My ambition is to end my career in Rome by winning the Champions League,” concluded the Juve star. __________________ El nino! | |
