Default How to change a player's team in photoshop
Old 07-05-2008, 04:14 AM   #1

As you can see in my sig, Villa and Torres, when wearing their Spain jerseys, are made to look like they are playing together for Liverpool. I was wondering how this should be done and if there was a technique to do so. I tried brushing over the jersey with the new colour with a moderately high opacity and I also tried clone stamping but neither seem to work...

I hope that someone can please help me learn a new skill Thanks in advance

Cut the head and the arms and the legs of the player, choose an LFC pic and copy it.I think thats the way you can do that.

No i know how you do it.

1. First of all find a picture where you want to change the jersey.
2. Open it in a new document.
3. Duplicate it once so you have 2 layers.
4. On the first (bottom) layer, cut out the players and jersey so you only have the background and the players face, arms and legs remaining.
5. On The second layer, cut out the background and the players face, arms, and legs. Now you should only have the jersey left. Desaturate this layer.
6. Now make a new layer and make a selection on the jersey from layer two. On the third layer use a brush and fill the selection with the colour you want to change it to. Put this layer on soft light and you might need to duplicate it and play with the opacity.
7. If your changing the team then you will need to add details like the crest, sponsor and logo.

Here is a quick example of just changing the colour:

Normal:

Colour Change:

***If your changing the team then just get cut outs of the logo, crest etc. and place them correctly on the jersey.

I hoped this helped it will take a long time to perfect but it's a really good ability to have.
